Basics of Pistol Shooting — Colorado CCW

This is the 8-hour, in-person class that satisfies Colorado’s concealed carry permit training requirement. Taught by John Rader — Douglas County verified instructor #25037, teaching since 1993.

Colorado Tactics is one instructor, and I still work full time in law enforcement. That means I do not publish a year of dates I might not be able to keep. I do something better: I set a date once I know people are actually waiting for it.

Tell me which class you want and when you can train. When enough people are holding a seat, I pick a date that works around my shifts and email everyone at once.

How this works

  • Nothing is charged now and you are not committed.
  • You will not sit in a class of two. It runs when it is worth your day and mine.
  • You hear from me the moment a date is set. You confirm then.
  • Date does not suit you? Stay on the list for the next one. No penalty.

Working to a deadline? A permit expiring, a purchase waiting on the state safety course, a court date — call 720-464-SHOT (7468) and say so. I can usually sort something faster than the list, including one-on-one instruction.
