Firearms Training in Centennial, Colorado

Concealed carry permits, the state firearms safety course, and private instruction for Centennial residents.

Centennial sits between our two teaching locations — Parker to the southeast, Aurora to the northeast. For most of the city, either is a short drive.

Your permit comes from the Arapahoe County Sheriff

Centennial is in Arapahoe County, so Centennial residents apply to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.

Worth knowing before you plan your timing: Arapahoe County has been handling a rising volume of concealed handgun permit applications. Demand there has grown, and processing time moves with it.

The practical consequence is simple — do your training early. The certificate is the part you control. Waiting on a class and then waiting on the county stacks two delays that did not need to be stacked.

Confirm the current process and current timelines with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.

Why people in Centennial train with us

Training is the whole business. We are not a range and we do not sell firearms, so there is nothing to upsell you at the end.

Small classes, and genuinely beginner-friendly. Most people who walk in have handled a firearm very little, and the class is built for exactly that.

Your instructor

John Rader — teaching since 1993, more than 30,000 students.

  • Douglas County Verified Firearms Instructor #25037 — Colorado instructors are verified by one county and that verification is good statewide, so this certificate is accepted by every issuing authority in Colorado
  • NRA Certified Instructor #167433046
  • United States Marine Corps — ten years infantry, honorably discharged as a Sergeant, and a Primary Marksmanship Instructor
  • Law Enforcement — twenty-five years, Sergeant
